Support The Movement

My campaign is for everyone who believes in the American dream who knows deep down that our county is capable of doing amazing things. The most basic measure of if our government is delivering for us is if today is better than yesterday.

Thanks for taking an interest in our movement to get our country back in touch with what the people need,

My name is Robby, this may be your first introduction to me and I do hope we have a chance to meet in person. For now I wanted to share a little about me I am an advocate, educator, mentor, and small business owner a real one I don't have a million dollars or a Harvard education I have something I am much more proud of… a small manufacturing business that me and a couple of friends built from the ground up here in Sacramento its a special place where a kick ass group of people come together everyday to make some cool stuff.

I live in midtown and rent a duplex drive my little ford ranger so that I can make sure we make payroll every two weeks. At various times in my life I have made minimum wage, struggled to make rent or chosen between paying my health insurance or the electricity bill.

I am a life long democrat and have had a rare opportunity to start and grow businesses right here in Sacramento. Through my life journey so far I have learned a few things that I know will help our country and our people succeed.

  1. You can not manage what you do not measure.

  2. The hardest part of accomplishing goals is not saying yes but saying no

  3. If you want to know someones motives look at their incentives

  4. Accountability is the only true method of keeping us all on task

  5. It is easy to get lost in the fog. True leadership is about clarity.

As I have gotten out there and talked to voters I have found that we really don't think too much about specific laws. We want to trust that our politicians to know and understand the laws but when we think about how we vote we really want someone who is aligned with our priorities and principles. We are going to build this website out so that if nothing else we hope you, the voter, can come to understand what my priorities and principles are. Note that at the end of the day I have decided to do something I am told is crazy. I am going to be honest about what I think and let the people decide if I would make a good representative.

The most important thing I have learned is that people need a goal to push towards something positive that they can look back on and be proud of. The democratic promise of rising tides is strong; it's something I believe in but it only works if we are able to deliver. Liberalism has in our attempt to make a better country actually tied down our own movement. Process for the sake of process or a well intentioned act that had unintended consequences. This is a natural part of decision making and I don't fault our leaders for this. The fault lies in not identifying when we have strayed too far and taking decisive action to course correct.

I believe we can continue to build on the foundation our forefather has set and I look forward to doing it with you! Together we can build and an America we can all afford.
